Conviction is obtained from the first visit to the site, where it is immediately understood that the hospitable notoriety of this territory in the south-west of Occitania is not a legend. All the Vignoli family cultivates this reputation with ease, starting with Colette and Guy, the parents, today joined in this same impulse by their daughter Nathalie. Because on this 64-hectare vineyard, very close to theancient city of Eauze, cordiality and tradition of warm welcome are immediately apparent. If we add to this these character traits where humor and generosity come from the simplest naturalness, then the promise of a beautiful human and cultural encounter becomes a certainty.

The fruit in three families

Apart from these inseparable qualities of Gers hospitality, the Laguille domain is also distinguished by two guarantees of authenticity: the Vignoli family — with a predestined name — established itself first as a winegrower family fully responsible for the aging of its wines, and something rarer, distilling its Armagnac using his own still. We are undoubtedly here at the heart of a Authentic Gascony where the trilogy of Côtes de Gascogne wines, Armagnac — here from Bas Armagnac — and from Gascogne floccu. Authenticity that makes Laguille domain one of the rare vineyards able to ensure, in complete independence, production on the three wine appellations which make the reputation of the terroir. The grape variety itself is a signature of regional identity. White grape varieties in the first place, both conducive to the production of white wines and well suited to the distillation ofArmagnac, thrive in Laguille domain. are noticed there Colombard, small and big Mansengs, Worm, white ugni et Sauvignon. On these lands where the expression of the fruit is paramount, there are also red wines Cabernets et Merlot.

Gascony in three acts

Act 1: Côtes de Gascogne wines

Lively and fruity, the whites of Laguille domain perfectly restore the aromatic intensities that distinguish Gascon grape varieties. Mainly adopting monovarietal vinification, the Cotes de Gascony du Laguille domain offer a distinguished and demonstrative olfactory and taste experience. Knowledge being made of the house, we will not be surprised that one of the cuvées is called The Meeting by Laguille. Reflecting the same expressive inclinations, the cuvée Whim of Fruit will stand out in rosé, alongside a Pleasure Red to complete the range.

Act 2: the Flocs de Gascogne

More confidential but typical of the Gers, the Gascogne floccu is also produced at the estate. This liqueur wine, made from grape must whose generous fruitiness has been fixed as it is by adding a third of young Armagnac, testifies to the personality of each domain. At Laguille domain, Gascogne floccu is produced in both red and white, revealing to the taste and nose the floral or fruity nuances that distinguish each color.

Act 3: Armagnacs

We touch here a rare singularity in Armagnac. As we told you, the Laguille domain has its own still! From its gleaming copper coils the Vignoli family extracts a Blanche d'Armagnac absolutely authentic. Distinguished by its fruitiness, the precious spirit is then aged in the famous “pieces”, that is to say these barrels intended for very long ageing.
