Established in the natural regions of Languedoc and Roussillon, the vineyards of the south-east cling to the Eastern Pyrenees then unfold facing the Mediterranean Sea, all around the Gulf of Lion. The terroirs coexist from west to east under a Mediterranean climate tempered to the north by the slopes of the Cévennes and the Montagne Noire which dominate them in an amphitheater. The vineyards of the south-east overlap with one another in a patchwork of appellations where each terroir draws wines of character from typical south-eastern grape varieties. All bear the mark of the sunny climate and their particularly contrasting soils. They are available in a mosaic of appellations including the names of Corbières, Minervois, Saint-Chinian, Faugères, Pic Saint Loup and many others.
